Cybersecurity Foundation & Network Security Fundamentals
Teachers interested in bringing back industry recognized Cyber Education to their schools, don’t miss this opportunity! After completion of these session teachers will be able to join the Palo Alto Networks Academy and have access to resources for your students and schools giving them a the starting blocks for a career pathway in cybersecurity. In the Cybersecurity Foundation course, teachers will learn fundamental principles associated with the current cybersecurity landscape and identify concepts required to recognize and potentially mitigate attacks against enterprise networks as well as mission critical infrastructure. Teachers will also learn how to initially setup and configure interfaces, security zones, authentication, and policies on a next generation firewall. In the Network Security Fundamentals course, teachers will gain an understanding of the fundamental tenants of network security and review the general concepts involved in maintaining a secure network computing environment. Upon successful completion of this course, teachers will be able to describe general network security concepts and implement basic network security configuration techniques.
